Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves as if you were visiting that website directly. These sites may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content.

Use of Google APIs

Shuhai Marketing is an authorized agency that manages Google Ads campaigns and Google Business Profile locations on behalf of our clients. To perform this work, our internal tools integrate with the following Google APIs under client authorization:

  • Google Ads API — to manage client ad campaigns we operate under our manager account (MCC), generate performance reports, and automate negative keyword maintenance.
  • Google Business Profile APIs (Business Profile Performance, Business Information, Account Management) — to manage client business locations added to our Business Profile Manager with client consent: monitor reviews, draft response suggestions for client approval, schedule posts, and produce performance reports.
  • Google Search Console API — to retrieve search performance data for client websites under their explicit grant.
  • Google Sheets API — to read and write data in spreadsheets owned by Shuhai or shared with us, used as the source-of-truth for content calendars and reporting.

Limited Use of Google User Data

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We use Google user data only to provide the agency services described above.
  • We do not sell Google user data.
  • We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes, including retargeting, personalized advertising, or interest-based advertising.
  • We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless we have explicit consent from the user, it is required for security investigations or compliance with applicable law, or the data is aggregated and anonymized.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve our services, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale with appropriate notice.

Authorization Model and OAuth Scopes

Shuhai Marketing operates the Google API integrations described above under our agency's own operator Google identity. Clients do not go through an OAuth consent flow with us. Instead, they grant us access through Google's native management mechanisms — linking their Google Ads account to our manager account (MCC), adding our Business Profile Manager as a Manager on their locations, or sharing a Search Console property / Sheet via the standard sharing UI. Clients can revoke this access at any time through the same Google interface used to grant it.

The OAuth scopes used by our operator account are listed below for transparency. These scopes are authorized by the Shuhai operator account, not by individual client end-users:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords — used to manage client Google Ads campaigns linked to our MCC.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/business.manage — used to manage Google Business Profile locations on which we are an authorized Manager.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly — used to read Search Console performance data for properties our operator account has been added to.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets — used to read and write spreadsheets owned by Shuhai or explicitly shared with our operator account.

If you are a client and wish to revoke our manager access, you can do so at any time through Google's native UI (Google Ads "Account access", Business Profile Manager "Users", Search Console "Users and permissions", or Sheets "Share" dialog). Our tools detect revocation and stop further requests.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share information only in these limited cases:

  • With service providers who help us operate the site and our tools (hosting, analytics, email delivery) under data processing agreements.
  • When required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect our rights and safety.
  • With your explicit consent for any other purpose.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Data Retention

Contact form submissions and email correspondence are retained for as long as needed to provide our services and for record-keeping purposes (typically 3 years).

Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so that subsequent comments can be automatically approved.

Google user data accessed via APIs is retained only as long as needed to perform the requested operation. Aggregated reports may be retained longer in anonymized form.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal information.
  • Withdraw consent for our use of your data at any time.
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at jack@shuhaimarketing.com.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked by an automatic spam detection service. Our infrastructure is hosted in Canada and the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the "Effective date" above. Material changes will be communicated through the site.
